In August 2018, I contacted Lamont with the purpose of losing
weight for an upcoming wedding where I was the maid of honor. I was about 15lbs
larger than what I wanted to be and was just recovering from ankle surgery.
Because of the ankle, I was limited to what I could do in the gym and
not educated enough to know any alternatives. In my first session with Lamont,
we talked about my goals, my limitations and my timeline. He did a preliminary
assessment, taking my measurements, weight and secretly assessing my fitness
level in my first workout. Secretly because I had no idea that during my first
workout he was assessing just how much work we were going to have to do to help
me meet my overall fitness and weight goals.
After my first session, I decided to do a 4-day workout plan and
incorporate the diet suggestions Lamont provided. Most people are used to working
out in the gym with complicated equipment. What I love about Lamont is there
was no equipment...all of our workouts were based on strength training
using my own body weight and light weights (dumbbells). Throughout the workout,
Lamont took time to educate me on proper form, targeted muscle groups and
the significance of stretching. Another thing I enjoyed the idea that he worked
out with me. Every exercise I did, we did together.
In addition to the workouts, that I began looking forward to
after the first week, Lamont provided personalized nutritional guidance on
healthy, clean eating. Now with the 4-day workout plan and the personalized
eating plan, I began to shed weight quick and easy. In 4 months (19 August- 25
November), I lost 22 lbs. Not only did I look better, I felt better. Throughout
the process, every month, Lamont weighed me and took pictures. The
transformation is pretty remarkable. My body is leaner, my clothes fit better
and I feel better.
